Provista appoints Jim Cunniff as new president and CEO

Provista appoints Jim Cunniff as new president and CEO who will succeed Dan Thomas. He assumed his new role with Provista on May 1, 2017.

Prior to joining Provista, Cunniff was the president and CEO of an FDA 503B registered outsourcing facility engaged in sterile drug compounding with a focus on ophthalmology and urology. He has also held leadership positions with healthcare suppliers, including Kinetic Concepts Inc., Stryker and Baxter Healthcare Corporation. He has overseen $1 billion commercial operations, implemented strategies to reach aggressive corporate goals and guided companies through dynamic industry disruptions that resulted in stronger, more robust businesses.

Vizient’s Sourcing and Collaboration Services president, Jody Hatcher said that Jim is a great fit for Provista. He has a rich and unique background that makes him the perfect candidate to identify and capitalize on emerging opportunities and to continue strengthening their non-acute business.
