Pharmacy technology provider Parata Systems has entered a group purchasing agreement with American Associated Pharmacies, a member-owned cooperative representing more than 2,200 independent pharmacies.
Effective immediately, the new agreement allows AAP members to take advantage of special pricing and terms pre-negotiated by AAP for pharmacy technology.
“Parata’s tireless devotion to helping pharmacies improve their businesses aligns well with AAP’s goal to provide pharmacies with tools to enhance profitability, streamline operations, and improve the quality of patient care,” said Tracie Heyrman, vice president of preferred partners at AAP. “Our partnership with Parata provides AAP members access to innovative automation solutions from an industry-leader known for their dedication to their customers’ success.”
AAP and Parata are well aligned in their efforts to elevate the role independent pharmacies play in today’s value-driven health care system. Since 2001, Parata has provided pharmacy automation solutions that help pharmacy owners improve patient outcomes, lower health care costs, and boost business growth. The collaboration is a natural fit.
“We admire AAP’s focus on helping their members strengthen and grow their businesses through the best services and the latest technologies,” said Scott Hollis, Parata’s vice president of sales. “Parata couldn’t be more thrilled to offer our expertise to contribute to this mission.”
